Yeti in Japan
The Interview from “Modesty”: answered by John Hassall
Q. What bands or artists did have much effect on you? What are theree your favourite albums?
Absolutely the best one is “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” by The Beatles. And we also love “Fire Brigade” by The Move and “Greatest Hits” by Donovan…um, something like that. Our songs have been affected by these bands.
Q. What are some your favourite films and filmic scenes?
“Carry-on Loving”
This film is not a joke though, at the same moment it’s very humorous. In fact, Imogen Hassall is my relative. You know, she is so glam! haha!
“Doctor Who: The Abominable Snowman”
Me and Mark are very fans of “Doctor Who.” After seeing the video, we decided to name our band “Yeti.”
“The Rebel” by Tony Hancock
I think he is both very interesting and tragic.

Q. What’s subject you’re deeply interested in? and the reason?
I’m keen on 60s culture. It clearly shows us social scene of that age. I believe it seems progressive and creative.
Q. Let us know your impression of Japan and favourite thing of Japanese culture.
I love Japan very much. The Japanese are reliable and Japan is a nice place for living, especially Kyoto is very beautiful, I think.
Q. Could you tell us the cue and the story why you wanted to become a musician?
Music is the way that anyone can freely express themselves. Making music sets me free and open-minded. That’s why I made up my mind to become a musician.
Q. Let us know the plan of your band and the things that you want to challenge in the future.
I suppose we’ll make the new album. Perhaps it will be out next year? We hope to concentrate more on it.
Please look forward to our new album!
